Happy Halloween 2013! This year we are superheroes (again). Wait, let me rephrase that…my husband and kids are superheroes. I am a villain. But don’t let the label fool you. By the look on my family’s face, I’m no villain. My youngest was supposed to be Bane, another villain, but when the mask arrived, it was smelly and huge. Not to mention, he had a change of heart. “Mama, I don’t want to be a bad guy. I want to be a good guy.” Well, that settles that. But let me tell you, he would have been the cutest Bane.
So we had to find him a new costume. Batman it was, a gracious sacrifice from my older son to give up his costume idea to his younger brother. I know all you nerds out there are thinking…Captain America is from Marvel. I know. We could not find a DC superhero costume that would fit my older son. Besides, Captain America is cute. I searched all over the Internet. No go. In this picture, my husband, who refused to wear any costume with an underwear on the outside again, also the new Superman-Man of Steel, told my kids to act tough. I refused because I was already a villain. I didn’t want anymore thing against me. But my kids are actors. You gotta love Wonder Woman’s attitude. It is perfect. Hopefully it’s just an act and not a glimpse into my future. Batman is swinging a punch as he’s regrettably clenching his teeth. He’s only 2 so I have time to break that habit. My Captain America has always been the “lover” of the bunch so he’s trying. We all had fun at the fundraiser this weekend. So from my family to yours, have a safe and heroic Halloween. Eat all the candies you want, just remember to floss and brush before bedtime. |
